Polyface farming for 6 – 10 on big land list.

Part one listed 1-5 huge land owners.

The idea is matching land, money, and a famous farmer, Joel Salatin.

Is it a reach? Sure, a big reach.

Is it impractical? No more than eating chem-food designed in a lab is impractical.

Who are the big landers?

The Irving Family

From pressherald.com:

In our globalized, corporatized 21st-century world, where multinationals do battle with one another on a planet-spanning battlefield, often with little loyalty to their hometown or country, the Irvings are an anachronism, their empire a throwback to the late 19th century, when self-made industrial tycoons like Andrew Carnegie and John D. Rockefeller controlled closely held, vertically integrated conglomerates and made and moved things across the continent.

Old time values with modern technology? Doesn’t that sound like Polyface Farms business plan?

The Irvings are Canadian, so that adds another country to the list.

The Singleton Family

From singletonranches.com:

Most of these ranches in the New Mexico Division go back in time to prehistory. Ruins of Indian pueblos and camps can be found throughout the ranches. Petroglyphs and artifacts that date from the 1100s to the 1600s can easily be found. The Pueblo Revolt of 1680 that forced the early Spaniards to leave New Mexico began in part at the San Cristobal Pueblo, on the ranch named for it. Spanish Conquistadors and explorers such as Francisco Coronado and Antonio de Espejo left detailed journals and maps describing their journeys through several of the ranches. Old Spanish forts, missions, and churches are found on the northern New Mexico ranches.

Mr. Singleton was smart, cared for the land, and ran cattle. It’s still happening today.

Why not take a chance using Polyface Farming ranch methods?

The King Family

From chron.com:

King Ranch lives by a generational promise to preserve and enhance the resources that sustain it and is widely recognized for its innovative research and production methods. King Ranch remains focused on the true sustainability of all its natural resources, including ranges, water, livestock, wildlife and people.

Read that again.

“Focused on the true sustainability,” is the key phrase. Who does that sound like if not Polyface Farming?

Stan Kroenke

From farmprogress.com:

“Working with Stan and his team at Kroenke Land and Cattle to help him build such an extraordinary, multi-faceted agribusiness operation has been a high point for all of us at Hall and Hall,” says a partner in the firm, Joel Leadbetter. “Knowing that incredible history of the Waggoner will be shepherded by such a dedicated steward brings all of us tremendous satisfaction.”

Multi-faceted agribusiness? Call in a consultant for Polyface Farming to ramp it up.

The Pingree Family

From mainewoodscompany.com

Since long before anyone became concerned about the destruction of rain forests, the heavy cutting in the Pacific Northwest, or the loss of habitat for endangered species, family representatives and Seven Islands Land Company have been managing the forests “naturally.” All land management decisions had to favorably satisfy the question, “Is it good for the land?”

Is it good for the land? Well, is it? After seeing Polyface Farming up close, any farm could use an opinion from Joel Salatin.

What are the chances of matching Big Money, Big Land, and big Polyface Farming ideas?

All it takes is a “yes” from the right person. If you know that someone, send them a link.
