24HR FITNESS vs $20

BETTING AGAINST THE ARMY AT THE OSU WALL?

WHAT WOULD DICK FOBURY DO

1. Why does Oregon State University have a Marine Corps obstacle course near Gill Coliseum?

Because OSU serves the Army, Marine, Navy, and Air Force ROTC.

2. Why would one former wrestler with a bad wing bet another he couldn’t climb over the red wall with the big yellow USMC on the front?

Because that’s what they do.

3. Why would a fifty eight year old over-weight Army veteran even make the attempt?

Because he’s a dedicated 24 hour fitness fan who talks the talk.

In other words, put up or shut up.

Besides, how many chances do you get to try this wall?

PROPER TECHNIQUE: RUN, JUMP, AND VAULT OVER

But the question remains, why bother?

You hear it from the couch, “I don’t need a gym to stay fit.”

You hear it at the pub, “There’s nothing wrong with me, why join a gym?”

How many Portland baby boomers live under a cloud of fragile health ready to rain down on them? Not just their’s, but those around them. Everyone gets a shower in that downpour.

Life spins you dizzy with twists and turns. You learn to saddle up and keep going.

There’s always something in the way. Sometimes it’s obstacles, sometimes a high wall.

A 24Hour Fitness habit bets you know what to do next.

STICK THE LANDING
