LAST WEEK ON BOOMERPDX . . .

Every blogger knows the golden rule: ignore your blog and it will die.

Ruby slippers on the Manhattan Beach pier? It must be Hollywood.

No one like a dead blog, an abandoned blog that leaves you wondering what went wrong.

Show life, blog life, in each post, each line. Listen to the words you choose and find the music.

It’s okay to change your tune if the song sounds flat.

For all the writing advice posted, printed, or lectured, one idea can’t be overdone: The right sequence of words transport the reader to a place of understanding, of deeper meaning.

At boomerpdx we like to feel that happens more often than not. Just in case, the following is a list of recent highlights.

NEW PAC-12 RIVALRY TROPHIES leads all posts in the clubhouse.

The images would have looked fantastic with a better photographer, but the the objects still show their power.

That happens when an artist channels a little magic into their work.

THE MILLENNIAL FUTURE, FOR NOW is a backhanded compliment to the new boomers.

Their 80 million vs our 79 million gives them the edge.

Now we’ll see how they slice the American pie.
LA FREEWAY OR NYC SUBWAY: WHERE WILD THINGS ROAM shows the west at its best.

In spite of living in a house surrounded by wild animals, from bears in the garage to snakes on the front porch, there was no gun talk.

Walking those mean deer streets didn’t feel like deer season, it was more like deer-bully season, and every bully needs their butt kicked a little.

AGING OR GETTING OLD, THE BOOMER CHOICE was inspired by my millennials and their friends.

I’ve known some of these guys since kindergarten.

It’s never too early or too often to remind them, “This ain’t Phil Lewis anymore.”

ALL-TIME BLAZERS is the one strictly sports post on the top five last week.

Hey, it’s the NBA playoffs, it’s time for man-game, which means someone’s teeth will hit the floor.

Houston, you have a problem. . .

This most-read post list confirms the notion that boomerpdx is a lifestyle blog, an up-looking website without the neck cramp.

Thanks for keeping it interesting.
