NO FRIENDS? SOUNDS LIKE A SAFE LIFE

During ‘my research’ I came across this gem: “If you have no friends you’ll probably never get Covid19.”

This isn’t the sort of research that leads to cockeyed ideas on how to treat Covid once you get it.

My research is different than people who say they’re ‘doing research’ but who don’t understand what research is, that it’s more than listening to the twisted logic of some twit who racks up personal points because they caught their attention.

Research isn’t THE TRUTH spit on you by a bitter, failed, politician who can’t understand election results, or a charlatan from the pulpit making a name for themselves by interpreting Jesus for those who can’t read, or won’t read.

These people are not trying to be a friend. They have no friends.

What’s the best response when a friend says, “I’ve been busy making America great again. Look, my new hat.”

Since it’s 2022, not 2016, no need to go over the litany of promises and claims and achievements achieved or not achieved.

Why get into Trump talk after he stopped making sense?

If the return answer comes back is, “He’s making more sense than ever,” ask yourself if you’re better having no friends.

Then ask about their supply of horse paste.

Making Friends In A Civilized World

Once someone takes a turn down Horse Paste Road and works on getting a bright light inside their body instead of getting vaccinated and wearing a mask, what’s next?

Maybe a new crew to spend time with.

If you spend time with folks making lists of books they want banned from the local school library, ask the difference between a book ban and book burning?

Your friends make a point of attending local school board meetings to perform another shit-fit melt down over how great America can be if only more people were like Trump, his followers, and his global role model leaders in North Korea, China, and Russia.

These friends have a wake-up call waiting. If you’re a friend, maybe you’ll make the call. And if you do, you may have one less friend.

How To Lose Friends If You Have No Friends

People get attached to things. Sometimes other people get attached to you.

And why wouldn’t they? If you are good people, you attract good people.

Unfortunately, not everyone plays by the same rules.

There’s manipulation by shrewd operators skilled in disseminating the old capital B bullshit.

The public’s apathy and despair towards Trump’s lies, researchers point out, were by design: The attacks mirrored a Russian propaganda technique known as the “firehose of falsehood,” which is exactly what it sounds like—relentless, rapid, bogus information. As Mother Jones‘ Mark Follman wrote in October, “Trump is using the autocrat’s playbook. Vladimir Putin’s, to be specific.”

Good people are turning into something less the longer they hear a voice echo in their heads, a voice of hope that sounds so promising:

“I alone can solve our nation’s problems.”

If you ever hear these words issue from anyone’s mouth, pay attention. Then ask a few questions of your own.

Does this person have their own life under control, or are they flighty, drifting from one thing to the next searching for meaning and creating new problems they can’t solve?

Are these people committed and loyal to the mission they are on? Or do they have a special facade in public different than their private lives?

Finish up with a lightning round of questions:

Who won the 2020 presidential election?

Was Jan. 6 an example of legitimate political discourse?

Does Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas have a wife problem?

There are rumors that Justice Clarence Thomas’ wife Virginia is such a Mark Meadows fan that she texted Trump’s chief her support for him to fix the outcome.

Clarence Thomas is right in there:

In February 2021 the Supreme Court rejected Donald Trump’s challenges to the elections result, however Mr Thomas dissented from the decision, calling it “baffling”.

Speaking for vulnerable men everywhere, what has to happen to make someone turn against the decency of good people you influence with every word and decision and opinion?

Who rewired Justice Clarence Thomas and his lovely wife Ginny? Who plugged them into Trump?

Talk about baffling.
