VOTING AGE FIRST PRESIDENT JIMMY CARTER

I came of voting age just in time to vote for President Carter. Why not have a naval academy graduate in the White House? I was eighteen in 1974, not an election year. That was the year Gerald Ford pardoned former president Nixon.

FATHER KNOWS, STILL DOESN’T CARE

Father knows everything, just ask him. He knows the big secrets and wants you to know he knows. There isn’t much he doesn’t know, but the lines blur between what he knows and doesn’t know. Why? Because he’s a bad father. And he’s got bad father friends. What makes a bad father?

So how is it possible to tell the difference between a crackpot and a legitimate source? If you trust a blogger who gets with it an a daily basis, you’re on […]

BROADWAY OREGON, A PARABLE

Two guys, just people who need people. The beauty of life we agree on: the Mona Lisa, Grand Canyon, and Broadway Oregon sparkle like universal jewels. You’re seen the Grand Canyon and Mona Lisa, or heard of them. Not Broadway Oregon. No one’s heard of it. You’re the first. I’m only talking to you. Kids […]

WHO CRIES MOST? NON-VOTER

Non-voters need change, will do anything for change. Anything, they say. Except vote. Every excuse is a good excuse to not vote, just don’t say the dog ate your ballet. Instead, use these tried and true non-voter lines: I got my registration in late. I moved. I thought my driver’s license was enough. Or,
