PICTURE GREATER WITH CHARLIE SANDBO AT TIGARD ART WEEKEND 2023

PICTURE GREATER

Picture Greater challenges us with: How did you get that picture.

I’ve always wondered how skilled photographers did it. Now I know.

They do it with patience and vision.

The end result is falling in love with an image.

Charlie Sandbo is matchmaker between you and a print you need, but didn’t know.

Now you know.

Sandbo will be showing his work at Tigard Art Weekend 2023.

He answered the Call For Artists.

The Tigard Downtown Alliance is seeking Artists, Illustrators, Photographers, Musicians, Painters, Metalsmiths, Dancers, Jewelers, Potters, Authors, Sculptors and other artists and artistic performers! Come join us for the 2023 Tigard Downtown Art Walk!

He answered the call and today is the day:

Answering The Tigard Downtown Alliance Call With A Camera

I’ve spent a lifetime looking at photographs wondering how anyone got their shot.

A walk with Charlie Sandbo has been the best explanation so far.

He walks the walk with a patience and vision honed from time in the field.

From Picture Greater:

In my travels, I have ventured beyond the Arctic circle, hiked through the world’s most biodiverse jungle in Costa Rica, gazed up at the brilliant night sky in the Oregon Outback, fallen asleep to the serenade of howling wolves in Wyoming, and enjoyed a few other amazing experiences along the way.

The world is simply too magnificent and beautiful to not deserve a lifetime of my appreciation!

The magnificence he captures in light and shadow feels like an energy boost you didn’t know you were missing.

Greater Picture For Greater Good

An interest in the greater good for others has been a constant with Charlie Sandbo.

He’s been featured here before.

However, I do need your help.

First, I humbly ask that you acknowledge the fragility of our Earth, the only place in the entire universe confirmed to harbor life.

Second, I ask that you accept the mortality (and possible extinction) of any species, including humans.

Finally, and most importantly, I ask that you help and show compassion towards others: friends, family, coworkers, strangers, those who are different from you, those who are a different species than you, and even those who you may dislike.

While straightforward, such requests are easier said than done; yet these are some of the largest obstacles to mitigating the damage done to this planet.

Most of us make it through our day much like we did the day before.

We acknowledge the ordinary, keep everything in it’s place, and plan for the next day.

But Sandbo has seen that everything is not in its place, and a plan for tomorrow includes setting it right.

His photography shows a world of hope, a dream that it’s not too late to act.

Find images with a soul that reach out to you from a photographer who waits for that revealing moment.

Visit Downtown Tigard and find Charlie Sandbo.

Tell him you heard about him on some blog.

Make this the ‘So What’ of your Sunday with something new for your wall.
