TRUST THE PROCESS FROM THE START

trust

Right away I can tell something is happening here. Sharp knife, multi-colored carrots, cutting board, other vegetables. Whatever is going on, it won’t be building a fire.

Starting a project, a diet, a savings plan? Trust the process.

The first day is all magical. One screenwriter said a days work at the beginning of a new script means putting a title on a piece of paper and putting it in a drawer for tomorrow.

Cutting carrots follows a different path. They come out of a vegetable drawer, not go in.

And they supply different bodily organs.

Off with their heads on the chopping block.

A great story starts at the top. Like a carrot, what we see in the field isn’t what shows up on the plate, but we still like what we see.

The hero needs to find something heroic to do, unless it’s a James Bond movie, or Tom Cruise movie, or Tom Cruise playing James Bond.

Saving the world is the goal, which is always the goal. It’s the recipe that changes.

If ingredients point a certain direction, take a look before kniving any further.

If the story calls for a hero to save the world from evil Mirepoix, these carrots team up with their pals celery and onions and get the job done.

This isn’t the Justice League, or Oceans 11, or a Brad Pitt / George Clooney buddy movie, but if it was it would capture my attention. Just the names are intriguing enough.

Who isn’t fascinated wondering what sort of high priced mess a good story turns into once the Hollywood trust sinks a hook into it?

Mirepoi? It has so many options, but there’s fascination in Rainbow Carrots, don’t you think?

Once these babies are sliced and diced, they have one thing in common: We trust they’re still carrots.

They don’t turn into turnips, or rutabaga, or parsnips any more than a man tainted by a lifetime of pampered attention can turn into a Teddy Roosevelt Rough Rider, a JFK PT boat captain, or a Big George Bush fighter pilot.

Knowing the difference between hardcore human power, and a depiction of power, shouldn’t be so hard. But like valor, and stolen valor, heroic deeds are easily missed when the air is full of dirty deeds that once done leave us feeling dirt cheap.

Men who demand the highest standards above all else need to understand the highest standards and live by the highest standards.

A Rainbow Carrot that comes from the highest standards deserves a place at the highest standards table.

Organics to You is a good place to start, followed by a strong review of history.
