Soon to be Damian Lillard as Portland’s LeBron?

Every team has it’s guy, it’s face, it’s go to player. When you say their name you know their team.

Will LeBron James ever sound like Miami? Dwyane Wade carries that one.

Cleveland? They’ve got LeBron for eternity.

He’s the Chosen One, The King, and he’ll wear that crown forever.

Clyde Drexler is Portland’s LeBron, except he did it in reverse.

Came to Portland, almost won a title, then went home to Houston and did win a title. He’s got one more than Charles Barkley so that works for me.

And he’s got team ID. Who’s the face of Philadelphia?

Not Charles. I’d pick Wilt Chamberlain, but most go with Dr. J.

Larry Bird took Boston to the top a few times, but the Celtics face still belongs to Bill Russell.

It’s harder when a team is great for decades like the Celtics and Lakers.

Who’s the face of the Lakers? Kobe, Magic, or Kareem? Has to be Kareem.

The face of the Warriors? Rick Barry or Steph Curry? It’s Curry, but he’s got the same number of titles as Barry.

Donald Sterling is still the main image of the Clippers until they do something bigger than kick him out.

The Kings? Still waiting.

The Sonics? Dennis Johnson.

The Blazers love their Bill Walton. He delivered a title, but left on a sour note.

If Damian brings the goods and Portland ends up with one of those O’Brien in his hands while wearing a Blazer uniform, he’ll be the guy.

If Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant stay in OKC and win big, maybe they’ll share the face of a franchise with Seattle?

It could be worse, right Seattle?

Probably not.
