GOOGLE ANALYTICS MAP DON’T LIE: OREGON TRAIL MEETS BOOMERPDX TRAIL

If Google Analytics is a trusted source, and why wouldn’t it be, then people from coast to coast stop right here.

Did I say people? I meant bots from Chicago to Ashburn, Virginia take a moment on boomerpdx. Bots that don’t get sick and die.

However you got here, and how long you stay, please believe coronavirus, covid-19, the medical terror sweeping the land, is a real thing.

Hardly anyone thanks a nobody blogger, which might be a good name for a new blog. On boomerpdx, a warm handshake and earnest blessing is not the takeaway, not the goal.

The main objective here, which I believe runs through every post I’ve written, as well as this one, is keeping a light lit.

When your light flickers in Providence, Rhode Island, North Bend, Oregon, or someplace in between, and there’s lots of space in between, find a place that tries keeping lights lit.

When you feel an un-named new dread growing and crowding your sleep, watch Casablanca. Knowing Rick renews his war fighting against the social disease from Germany with a new attitude sheds light on the ability to see problems from a different angle.

Except for covid-19. Every angle sucks on the novel Coronavirus.

Have you heard a cancer survivor say, “Cancer is the best thing that ever happened to me.”

Lose those pesky pounds, get new clothes, write a memoir, the usuals.

The reason few do say that is because of the mortality rate. ‘Cancer kills’ isn’t new. It’s awful, and those who escape its scythe live with the chill of death.

Google Analytics show a map of blog engagement of one kind or another; Coronavirus map shows a very certain engagement.

Now, right now, is time to warm the chill wind. If you know someone who needs helpful words, tell them:

“We fight the fear of the unknown, then once it’s known, we kick the nasty, virus-assed, piece of shit, into the Small Pox box. We listen for updates and follow new guidelines against this sneaky fucker that needs to be jammed back in the hole it came from. What we won’t do is take half-baked medical opinions from conspiracy kooks who see human life in terms of inventory.”

“You are not inventory.”

(and neither are you)
