THIRD ACT LIFE: THIS IS WHAT WE LEAVE BEHIND

THIRD ACT

Life’s third act is different than the end of a drama.

In a play, everyone goes home.

In life the end is death, which sounds overly dramatic.

One question: Is it better to go quietly and leave the mess and problems unsolved?

Problem solvers say, “Heck no.”

Let’s start with a quote from Cool Hand Luke: “What we have here is failure to communicate.”

Effective communication is a two way street; with Luke it’s a dead end road, but then again it is in prison.

If we’re not in prison, communication is a two way street. That’s better.

However, if you are in prison I hope you’re doing better than Luke.

One of the appealing aspects to outsiders looking into the American way of life are the freedoms we enjoy.

Free speech is a big one, but even that comes with conditions, like not yelling, “FIRE,” in a crowded theater.

Is that one hard to understand?

If so, don’t put people at risk by your flakey exercise in free speech. There may be unfortunate consequences for both the speaker and the listener, like getting trampled in the rush to the exits.

Getting killed in a crush created by your own ignorance is the wrong third act to leave on.

The person who yelled fire arrives at heaven’s doorstep:

“How did you die?”

“I was crushed in a crowd after I yelled fire in a theater.”

“The fuck is wrong with you? Do you know how many others died?”

“No, I don’t.”

THIRD ACT

Men and women coached up on what to say by monied people look like these four.

They knew what to say to advance to the highest court in the land.

That they navigated their way to the top is quite an accomplishment, not one to discount or discredit.

Their opinions from 2006 to 2020 are consistent. Then the real work started, the sort of work they would soul search before making decisions.

But, was it soul searching or remembering a promise they made to even be considered?

Today’s Roe v Wade decision is a clue.

Look at those faces and decide which one you want telling you they know what’s best for your daughter, your wife, your mom.

They know what’s best for you? Feel free to agree. Or disagree. After all it’s America, home of the brave, land of the free, unless you’re a woman who wants her reproductive rights in her own hands.

Reproductive Rights In These Act Three Hands?

THIRD ACT

Is this Dr. Samuel Anthony Alito Jr., esteemed and respected Obstetrician-Gynecologist and expert on women’s health and reproductive rights?

Or is this a hack judge appointed by a president who snuck in the back door of the Oval Office based on a decision of a judge appointed by his father after a controversial vote count in a state governed by his brother?

Does that sound like a legitimate career path open to all Americans.

Alito was a member of the Concerned Alumni of Princeton, which was formed in October 1972 at least in part to oppose Princeton’s decisions regarding admitting women.

What is there about an Ivy League, boy school loving advocate, deciding how women deal with their bodies that sounds anti-American?

This is a man born of women. He’s got a wife who is also a woman, a daughter who is a woman, and a son who may or may not be married to a woman.

I’ll do the math: That’s four women from momma, wife, daughter, to daughter in-law.

How do the women in his life feel about him being in the room when they’re up on the exam table with their feet in the stirrups during their women’s reproductive health exam?

OBGYN Educational Requirements

When judges degrade women, what’s the point of women’s health?

It’s a similar question to ask after school shootings when judges degrade children’s lives in favor of gun lobby money

Both deserve better treatment from the wise men and women on the Supreme Court.

Ladies first in the doctor’s office, their doctor, not a judge’s chambers: How to Ob-Gyn

Step 1: Graduate From High School

Do you go into the doctor’s office looking for a high school diploma?

Would you have concerns if you found a GED? Or an Associate of Arts from the community college you passed on the way to the clinic?

Step 2: Earn a Bachelor’s Degree

Would a diploma from a sixth rate educational mill inspire confidence?

Step 3: Go to Medical School

Why would a controlling man send their mom, their wife, their daughter, or daughter in-law to a health practitioner educated at an accredited medical school?

What is more elitist than seeking qualified doctors?

Step 4: Complete Your OBGYN Residency

Does the Dapper Gent above understand that voting down Roe v Wade will direct women in need to opportunistic hucksters advertising in the shadows.

Is that where he’s sending his mom, wife, daughter, and daughter in-law? Or will he send them to a real doctor who may be investigated and arrested for doing the job they’re trained to do?

Step 5: Become Licensed and Certified

Do women deserve a qualified doctor for their medical needs?

Does your mom, your wife, your sister, your daughter, your daughter in-law deserve competent medical care?

Or is some rando on the sidewalk good enough for them?

Think about it first, then ask if what’s good enough for them is good enough for you.

Well, is it?

Six black robed ghouls have already answered for the women.

This isn’t how a third act is supposed to work.
